Your Father’s Kitchen Our next turn would be Dec 2. The meeting approved taking on this ministry again

Rotating Bible Study Class Heidi Friend, the WYM Youth Minister, has accepted our offer to host the Oct 15 meeting. We will feed everyone in Kelly Room 10. As the supper is winding down, Patricia will address the group about Campus Friends Meeting, its relationship to the college and the Quaker Heritage Center. The following people volunteered to provide elements of the meal:

Ruth Stuckey: lasagna
Lena Mae Gara: drinks
Dale Hayes: cookies
Others: salads, veggies

The Bulletin Board The bulletin board has arrived and is installed in the meetinghouse. It cost $160. The original agreement was to split the cost with the Quaker Heritage Center, but as it is presently installed, it is exclusively for our use. There will also be a literature rack installed in the foyer outside the meetinghouse.

There is also the matter of disposing of the old bulletin board. Ruth Dobyns can use it in the Quaker Heritage Center.

The meeting approved assuming the whole cost of the bulletin board. The treasurer is instructed to post the expense against the “Educational Outreach” account. The meeting approved giving the old bulletin board to the Quaker Heritage Center.

Building Security The Quaker Heritage Meetinghouse is reserved for our use every Sunday from 9:15-1200. Campus Safety will open the building by 8:45. However, it is our responsibility to ensure that the inner doors are shut properly before we leave. Friends are requested to help make sure that that the doors to the Quaker Heritage Center, the corridor and the closet are secured before we leave.

Campus Safety still has the responsibility of securing the outer doors.

New Business

Ron Rembert’s Request Two of Ron’s students cannot attend any Sunday meeting for worship due to work commitments. Ron requests that we hold an evening meeting for worship so these students can experience Quaker silent worship.

The meeting approved. A meeting for worship will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 4 in the Quaker Heritage Meetinghouse

Improving quality of worship Canby Jones brought forward a suggestion expressed to him and Stephen Potthoff by Violetta Tribandiene. Violetta suggests expanding our Sunday activities by sharing food, sitting in silent worship, then enter a period of discussion and finally sharing the noon meal together. Richard Coleman suggesting adjourning t the General Denver for lunch after meeting.

The meeting referred this matter to Ministry and Counsel

FWCC Regional Gathering. Will occur at Wilmington College Sep 29 – Oct 1. The Stuckeys may need volunteers to provide hospitality for some visitors.
