The Clerk read a query from WYM that is to be the theme of the State of Society Report. This was followed by a time of centering.
Minutes of the December meeting
were approved.
Treasurer’s Report – Dale Hayes – attached to these minutes
Dale said the small negative balance is not significant. The report was approved.
Ministry & Counsel – Roger Schroeder
There was discussion of membership status of nonresident Friends and content of the letter to be sent to them.
A minor clarifying change to the WYM policy on sexual harrassment was considered and accepted. With that change, Campus Meeting approved the policy statement and instructed our representative to take it to the Permanent Board.
The report was approved. The next meeting of the committee will take place at 9:30 am, Tuesday, 20 Feb in Canby Jones’s apartment.
Old Business
The Clerk asked what further use we can make of the DVD, “Outlawed: Extraordinary Rendition, Torture and Disappearances in the War on Terror.” It was approved to put it in our library and notify the Campus Minister, Wilmington Yearly Meeting and the Peace Resource Center of its availability.
Canby Jones reported receiving copies of two books by Jacob Boeme, The Restoration of Nature, and Boeme’s Confessions. Inner Search will begin discussing the former on Sunday, 1/21/07.
New Business
The Clerk asked if changes should be made in the Campus Meeting brochure to reflect our move to the Quaker Heritage Center Meetinghouse. Patricia was authorized to investigate changing the illustration and wording on the brochure for this purpose.
Lenna Mae Gara will prepare an obituary/memorial for Phil Holmes and send copies to Friends Journal and Quaker Life.
The meeting concluded with a period of silent worship.
